Pong Anyone?

I thought I was such a cool DIYer by painting our ping pong table in black chalk board paint and buying a black net.

Well, these ping pong tables just blew me away and reminded me that I need to step back and really push the envelope with my design.  Life is short and if you enjoy design than live a little and go for it!  (As soon as we find a house I will!)

Happy Sunday Everyone.

This whole house is my dream house.  Portia De Rossi and Ellen D's - amazing and I think now former home - sold to Ryan Seacrest - wow, I need a life.

They get it spot on in my mind.  Clean, but heavy use of antiques and vintage pieces, color from plants and stone, modern light fixture and then - hey, "we're so fun we have a ping pong table in our entryway".

Carpet on the Walls?

So, we are on the hunt for our dream home.  Or actually, we are on the hunt for a home that can become our dream home once we finish our renovations!

We have looked at dozens of homes and the one that haunts me at night is amazing but has not been updated since it was built in 1983.  Amazing right?  One of the "fantastic" features of this home is that there is carpet on most of the walls.  So, I ask, can carpet on the walls still work?

The black carpet on walls and floor actually gives this room an edgy cozy vibe.

Hmm, carpet half way up the wall?

Carpet continuing from ground to wall making a big graphic impact.

Hmm, not full-on carpet but a little shag will do ya.

So, the carpet on the walls in the home I love looks nothing like these!  And, unless someone can send me an image to convince me otherwise, I think if we buy the home the carpet will have to come down!

Have a blessed weekend everyone!

Such a Fan of Rattan!

So,  who else sort of used the words rattan and wicker interchangeably?  I know, not you right?!

Rattan (from the Malay rotan) is the name for the roughly 600 species of palms in the tribe Calameae, native to tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australasia.

So, Rattan = All Natural

Wicker is hard woven fiber formed into a rigid material, usually used for baskets or furniture.[1] Wicker is often made of material of plant origin, butplastic fibers are also used.

Wicker = Not All Natural

Thank Wiki!

Now that that is out of the way...
I love the fan chair and all of the rooms below!
If you are searching for a rattan chair, fan or otherwise,
visit our shop or just contact us!

I think I would have used a different chair on the other side of this desk, maybe something with a camel-colored leather but otherwise, this office/studio is perfection!

Sweet and feminine.

Swank!  I love the idea of the hanging chair.  I have to keep this in mind for the new house!

Love the colors in this one.  I would love to see a pair of these in an all white room!

Over-the-top and amazing!  I always claimed I would do my little girls room in orange and fuschia.
Um, gray and white are close right?

Enjoy and Happy Summer Everyone!

Haven't hung any art but I love that this is what you see when you walk in.  The letters were a find from my trip to Nashville!

Thank you everyone once again for the great weekend of sales!

Harley really didn't like the way he looked in this picture but I think he looks great!
