Lighting, lighting, lighting. What can I say, even a child's room deserves a piece of lit art!
Keep accessories light in kids spaces. They have so many toys and gear that it will tend to drive parents bonkers if there are added decorative elements! The fan and Jonathon Adler lamp are functional and the boxing gloves were the little boy's grandfathers.
With so much light coming in from the windows, painting 3/4 walls black was not an issue. And, because of the architectural drama, as soon as I walked into the room I knew I wanted something to draw the eyes upward. Yellow and white stripes were the answer!
